HATE PUSH UPS?! YOU MIGHT NOT NEED THEM!

Push-Ups aren't always the answer to muscular and lean arms!  Typically our chest is actually an overactive muscle in the human body and needs to be stretched out more than anything!!  As you can see below in the photo, the direction of pull of our Pectoralis Muscles causes tension to pull our shoulders forward.Pec AnatomyThis forward pulling only wreaks havoc on our posture!  We are a very slumped over society - which is a cause for neck and back pains in all ages.  Instead, we need to work our under active muscles of the back!  Rows.Rows.Rows.  This movement strengthens our Middle/Lower Trapezius and Rhomboids. Here is an idea for a Posture Strengthening Workout:**Perform 10-15 Reps of Each Exercise - 3 Sets**Cable Squat to RowFullSizeRender_5FullSizeRender_6 Seated Cable Wide RowFullSizeRenderFullSizeRender_1Glute Hip BridgeFullSizeRender_2Stability Ball CobraFullSizeRender_3FullSizeRender_4 Make sure you are working out for YOU!! Muscular Imbalances are common, we all have them!  The important thing is to address them the right way!Now, this isn't meant to say working the chest is never to be done, or that you shouldn't do a push up ever again... We just need proper programming to get the best and safest effects possible!
